The family business was introduced over half a century ago by Grandpa Souren as a small bakery producing fine Middle Eastern and Eastern European delicacies in Tehran, Iran. I grew up seeing her take plain scraps of cloth and turn into intricate works of art. Many of the clothing that I wore as a kid, the beddings that adorned my bed and the curtains that accented my bedroom windows were created by my mother who is a self taught designer and seamstress. We are a husband and wife team from Montgomery County, Maryland, who love craft beer and our community. When COVID forced us into quarantine, we found that we missed connecting with friends and family. One day, as a “thank you” for sharing some masks, we dropped a mixed 4-pack (“a drop”) of local craft beer to our friends. The excitement over the simple gift was infectious. A lightbulb went off that there were ways to connect with others, even if it could not be done in traditional ways. Something very important to us in general, but especially during uncertain times.
In May 2020, we started dropping craft beer to friends and family with a note from “The Beer Fairiez”. With each note came an invitation to continue spreading the love to others. And so a movement began.

Thanks to Westfield Wheaton, there is an art gallery in Wheaton, exhibiting and selling original artwork by more than 24 local artists. The Wheaton Arts Parade Gallery is on the lower level of the Westfield Wheaton shopping center at Entrance 11. Ninety percent of all sales revenue go directly to our artists. In exchange, they volunteer to manage the gallery. We recently moved across the corridor to a larger space and reopened on November 6 after renovations.
